Justin McGinnity

Project Metallurgist

With over 30 years of experience in applied chemistry and metallurgy, Justin, as Project Metallurgist, brings a wealth of expertise to our business and our clients’ projects.

Justin began his career with a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry at Curtin University and then conducted research at Murdoch University. He contributed to challenging projects worldwide, collaborating with industry leaders such as Teck Metals, BHP Billiton, and MMG across diverse locations including Australia, Canada, USA, Chile, Brazil, South Africa, and Laos.

He has held roles as a Metallurgist at Queensland Pacific Metals, SGS Minerals and Simulus (now Lifezone Metals), in the latter, he participated in pilot plant testwork programs. Justin’s experience includes reporting on lithium hydroxide and carbonate production, high-purity Ni and Co sulphates, atmospheric sulphuric acid leaching of Ni and Co from laterite ores, and gold extraction from sulphide ores via advanced leaching techniques.
